Carbohydrate is a biological molecule consisting of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atom. Carbohydrates are found in both healthy and unhealthy sustenance. So, it is clear that all carbohydrates are not the same. Some are the good source of carbohydrates and some are a bad source of carbohydrates

Good source of carbohydrates doesn’t spike the blood and provide energy for a longer period of time. Contrary to it, bad carbohydrates spike your blood sugar, digest fast which promote fat storage.

How your body gain fat by eating bad carbohydrates?

A whole grain food is a good source of carbohydrates where the fiber has not been removed. The fiber keeps our digestive system healthy and slows the breakdown of carbohydrates. Reducing the large sugar of glucose in the cells and reducing fat storage.

Refined carbohydrates (poor carbohydrates) are food that has their fibrous outside covering dripped off and includes white flour, white rice, white sugar, and white potatoes and is the largest contributing factor for weight gain.

So, now you have understood the difference between good carbohydrates and bad carbohydrates

The list will go on…

All these have fewer nutrients and your body understands good nutrients. Your body is designed to eat good and healthy nutrients. All these bad carbohydrates spike your blood sugar. Your body breaks them down very quickly and spikes blood sugar and after 1 hour it’ll crash down which spikes the insulin and promote fat storage since your body converts the excess amount of carbohydrates into fat.

So, avoid these bad sources of carbohydrates and eat an only good source of carbs. But sometimes, once a week or once in two weeks you can have any of these things, it will not damage your body at all because if 90% of your food is coming from good carbs then your body will work properly.
